The 2016 Memeworld Spleef Cup was the first ever spleef tournament in Memeworld that took place in Woodland. It started on August 3rd and ended on the 13th. Mario won after a series of qualification matches. The event was notable for being plagued by heavy amounts of salt.
A second Spleef Cup was planned for August 2017 which would've taken place in Pumaslavia. It ultimately never took place due to lack of public interest and there have been no attempts to organize another Spleef Cup since then.
